This was a personal project where I wanted to create a visual that commented on one's identity and individuality. Through this work, I was able to examine the highlights and shadows on a figure's face, as well as explore the results of pushing the lightest lights and darkest darks to the max. Just as every person has highlights and shadows revealed by lightness and darkness, every person has highs and lows, positives and negatives, good and bad. This piece helped me understand these concepts and analyze my relationships with the people in my life. All figures are hand drawn.
